Not long ago we brought you some datamined updates from swtor_miner and now he has some more great info for us. It’s all about new color crystals hopefully on the way and a little insight that he says really “blew his mind”. So are you ready? First he explains the new color crystals: This all started with my quest to discover a list of new color crystals that were added to the game. The easiest place I thought to look is at the English UI element lists, so I started there. And here’s what I found: Key: Available Color Crystal – Unavailable Color Crystal Available Dye – Unavailable Dye Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, White, Orange, Purple, Black-Yellow, Black-Blue, Black-Green,Black-Light Blue, Black-Light Red, Black-Orange, Black-Purple, Black-Red, Black-White, Razer Green, Light Blue, Light Red, Orange-Yellow, Pink-Purple, Orange-Red, Cyan-Blue, Lime-Green, Derelict Purple, Golden Yellow, Silver Blue, Emerald Green, Light Green, White Black, Copper, Vivid Green Black/Black, Black/White, White/White, White/Black, White/Light Orange, Dark Brown/White, Dark Green/White ,Deep Pink/Deep Purple, Medium Gray/White, Medium… 3b2c2o

Last week we introduced Star Wars Expanded Universe expert, Jensaarai1 and featured Episode 7 of his Versus Series, Darth Malgus Versus Count Dooku. Coincidentally and almost magically as if the Force itself was involved, Jensaari1 releases his first Versus episode for 2013, episode 11, that very night – 41 minutes of calculated lightsaber dueling Sith/Jedi analysis! He uses Darth Malgus once again. This time he pits Malgus against former Jedi Master turned Sith, Sora Bulq of the Clone Wars era! Both are power houses. Who will win? Only Jensaarai1, the Nerd-Rage Ranter knows! Feel free to share your opinion on this battle. Did you disagree or agree with his conclusion? Why or why not? If the force permits, I hope to see more of Jensaarai’s “Versus Series” featuring more legends from SWTOR and even its predecessor, KOTOR. When he does, you will be sure to find out about it, here…

by FrelsAreN, DeviantART by lelmer77, DeviantART Jensaarai1 aka the Nerd-Rage Ranter, a video blogger on YouTube, is probably one of the greatest experts on Star Wars I have seen in some time. He appears to be well versed in all the movies, both of the Clone Wars series and the comic book series (Dark Horse). I have not heard him mention the novels in his analyses, but I wouldn’t put it ed him. Rest assured he is an expert on the Expanded Universe of Star Wars, which pretty much trumps those who only know about the movies when it comes to general Star Wars knowledge. What really impresses me is his unique knowledge on everything that is the lightsaber, which is impeccable. He made a 10 episode series throughout 2012, called the “Versus Series” where he pits Jedi against Jedi, Sith against Sith and Jedi against Sith in “what…

Star Wars: The Old Republic has many interesting features like the rare crystals that make your lightsaber different colors. These are fun to collect and some of them can be a real challenge. Here’s a guide to some of the color crystals in the game. that these can change at any time. We will try to update the guide accordingly. to check out this post on Light saber hilts. Common Crystals You can find the blue, green, red and yellow crystals in Artifice. These are the most common gems so they are the easiest to locate. You can also find them in the vendor sabers gear. The orange color gems are “high level artifice” that can be reached at level 400. In Alderaan, the orange crystals drop from Ulgo Siegebreaker, Corusant Worldboss and Nar Shadda Worldboss. Black Core Colors There are four black core colors in the game. You can…

Well now you can hear the story as Ben Burtt talks about creating the sounds for the lightsabers in Star Wars. As he worked on “A New Hope”, Burtt probably wasn’t aware that he was inventing modern sound design. This is a really cool video to help you learn more about lightsabers came to have this distinct sound that we all know and recognize from the movies, games and even toy lightsabers (yes, I own a few of those). Check out the awesome video to learn more. Also to check our old “How stuff works” post on Lightsabers. Who knows, you might learn something 🙂

when players really wanted those ultra-rare white Lightsaber crystals? Lightsaber crystals are one of the most-wanted novelty items in SWTOR. Who doesn’t want to have their own lightsaber? Most Star Wars fans can agree with this one. Now what if you had the option to control what color your lightsaber beam was? Again, most will agree that this is a great feature. But in SWTOR, it’s not as easy as just wishing for a certain color (where is the Force when you really need it?) Instead, you will need to obtain crystals that change your existing lightsaber color to the color of your choice. BioWare has recently revealed the very popular white lightsaber crustal will be available in the game and you can buy it from computer-brained vendors. BioWare revealed this information in a blog post about future game changes. “”In related news, a very limited number of pure white…

One of the big appeals to playing a Star Wars game is the lightsabers. No matter what age you are or what kind of gamer you are, lightsabers are still pretty good. The good thing about SWTOR is that they have taken the time and energy to give us a good variety of lightsabers within the game. We have written about this before and if you’ve played a character all the way up to 50 (or even close to that), you’ve probably already seen that there are tons of lightsabers you will come across yourself as you play. Not every character can use every lightsaber. Some are light or darkside specific. Some are class-specific and some are only available to one side or the other (faction) but there is a real appeal to these different weapons, their colors and even the careful attention that went into the different hilt designs….

Adegan crystals were commonly used by Jedi as a main component of a lightsaber. Also known as “Ilum crystals””. BioWare tells us How to Find a Magenta Adegan Crystal for yourself, if you can figure it out, that is. Georg “Observer” Zoeller posts on the official forums: It’s actually not difficult at all. There is no RNG element involved, nor do you need to be running around in endgame gear to obtain it, nor do you need an Operation to do so. You may need a bit of time, but not a crazy amount either. All classes are capable of obtaining it. Think of it as something like a datacron. Of course you also need to find an Artifice capable crafter with the recipe to turn the raw crystal it into a Lightsaber crystal, but for the right price, I’m sure they’ll help you out. Honestly, I was a bit…
